Orders, ordering and delivery

When will I receive my book?

If the item is in stock, we will ship the same day if the order is in our hands no later than 12. Otherwise, the next day.

If the goods are not in stock, we will send them as soon as they arrive home from the publishers. As a general rule, Danish books can be delivered in 2-4 days and foreign books within 5-9 working days, depending on the turnaround time of the individual publisher.

As a starting point, we send all books from an order together, unless we can see in advance that there are obstacles (e.g. pending publications or reprints). If an item is reported late by the supplier or publisher, we will make a partial delivery of the books we have in hand, and the rest will be delivered as soon as possible - and often at no extra cost to you. If your order is urgent, you can always contact our departments and we will do our best to find a solution for you.

You are always welcome to contact us for an update on your order - just state your name and order number.

Have you received my order?

If you have ordered books etc. via our webshop at factumbooks.dk, you will receive an order confirmation to the specified email shortly after the order has been sent. Here is an order no. specified with 8 digits (99xxxxxx) - this sometimes ends up in the spam filter, so remember to check this. If you do not receive an order confirmation from us, an error has occurred when creating the order, and please try again - or you are of course welcome to contact us and we will check whether the order has gone through.

If you order goods through us via email (e.g. as an institution), we will reply to your email with the order confirmation.

I can't find the item I want on the website - what do I do?

Our website is continuously updated and collect items from various Danish and international databases. However, should the book you are looking for not be found, you can always write or call us, and we can almost guarantee to get it or make it available on the website.

Are you looking for a very special book that is not widely available? You’re very welcome to contact us completely without obligation, we are an experienced bookshop with many contacts, and we will be happy to try and find it for you.

I have requested delivery in one of your stores or collection points - when can I collect my book?

You will receive a message from us as soon as the book is ready for pick-up - if you think it has been a long time, remember to check your spam filter on your email. Your order can then be picked up within the delivery location's opening hours. See the departments' opening hours on our website under 'Contact/Terms'.

When picking up your order, you must be able to present a collection confirmation/order confirmation and, if asked for, ID.

If you have any questions about the delivery, you are welcome to contact one of our four departments in Aarhus and Aalborg.

My company/institution wants to order books through you - what do we do?

We have an established collaboration with countless organizations, institutions and companies throughout Denmark, and we are always interested in being of assistance to your company, institution and organization.

You have the option of creating a business user via our website, which makes it easy to shop with us, and makes it possible to receive (electronic) invoicing. If you are not registered, use the Create Log In function on the website, or finally send us an email with information about your organization, and we will help you with the creation. To be registered as a business user, you must be CVR-registered, and we reserve the right to reject the creation.

Alternatively, you can always write/call our departments in Aarhus and Aalborg, who will be able to help with order creation, invoicing, delivery and the like - and if your organization needs large quantities of books or other goods, we are open to making a good deal.

Return and cancellation

For how long can I return an item?

FACTUM Books follows the rules applicable at all times regarding trade via the internet for consumer purchases. This currently means 14 days right of return from the day you’ve received the order. The item must be returned in perfect condition and you must be able to present a valid copy of the receipt/invoice.

Order from the webshop - What do I do if I want to return an item?

If within 14 days of receiving the item you should regret your purchase and wish to return the goods, you must notify us of your cancellation by email - info@factumbooks.dk - in which you must state the following:

  • Name
  • Order no. (either web order no. 99xxxxxx, sales order no. Sxxxxxx or invoice no. 751000)
  • Why you want to return the item
  • Whether you want to return via post or delivery in one of our stores

We will then confirm the return and assist with the process. It is important that you give notice of the return, and not simply send the item or refuse receipt. In this way, you secure your right of return if your package should be delayed on its way to us and avoid possible error return.

When we’ve received the of returned items in our store, we refund the purchase via the same payment method with which the purchase was made.

When returning by post to our warehouse/stores, you are responsible for any return costs yourself. This means that if you refuse to receive the item, you will be charged for both the delivery and return fee, corresponding to between DKK 39-65 depending on the weight of the package. Postal labels for returns can be purchased here, and when purchasing, please state your name and order number in the comment field.

Goods purchased in our physical stores - What do I do if I want to return an item?

You are always welcome to stop by any of our stores to return an item. Just remember to do it within 14 days from the day of purchase, bring a valid receipt and make sure the item is in perfect condition. We reserve the right to assess the condition of the item on site, and possibly reject a return if the item is damaged in any way.

If you want to return an item bought in a shop via parcel post, the same rules apply as returning items from the webshop (see the point above).

Damaged goods

My package and its contents are damaged - what do I do?

If you receive a damaged package - you must make sure to report immediately to PostNord, as it is with them that the damage occurred. Do this immediately before leaving the mail shop. For PostNord to recognize a complaint about a damaged package, you must make a complaint within 24 hours via PostNord's website - https://kundeservice.postnord.dk/s/?language=da

My goods are damaged/defective on arrival - what do I do?

Should your goods have a production fault, then contact us as soon as possible at info@factumbooks.dk - depending on the product and the situation, we will make sure that the fault is rectified.
